To thank staff for all of their hard work during the last year, the Senior Management Team have agreed to award everyone with an additional days leave to be taken on 24 December 2012.
The Autumn term ends on 21 December, therefore the College will be closed from 22 December 2012 and will re-open on Wednesday 2 January 2013.
As usual staff will be required to set aside 3 days of their annual leave entitlement to cover the period between Christmas and New Year, but for the 24 December an extra days’ holiday will be allocated to all staff.
For full time staff the additional 1 days’ leave will be added to your annual leave entitlement on i-Trent and must be taken on 24 December.
For part time staff a pro-rata number of hours and minutes equivalent to the additional one day annual leave will be added to your annual leave entitlement. Therefore, if you normally work on Mondays you will be required to take 24 December from your annual leave balance, and if Monday’s are not part of your normal working pattern you have the flexibility to take the additional time off at a later date.
For term time only staff a pro rata adjustment for the additional day will be made to your salary.
Senior management would also like to announce that the College will be hosting a Christmas party on Friday 14 December for all staff. Further details on this free event will follow.
