College Environment

The College is located over 4 campuses where we have some fantastic facilities for staff working with us, such as;

  • Various catering facilities (refectories and coffee shops) including a Starbucks outlet located in the new Arts Academy at Bede Campus
  • The Lounge Bistro located at the Hylton campus
  • Kitchen/refrigeration facilities for staff use located in staff rooms and offices

The College offers a very generous holiday entitlement to all staff;

  • Managers – 35 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
  • Curriculum Leaders – 46 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
  • Lecturers – 48 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
  • Support staff – 35 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)

Health Care

The College also provide a number of benefits to support staff health.

  • Health Care Plan, which enables staff to claim towards the cost of every day health costs; i.e. dental, opticians, therapies etc.

  • Occupational Health Service – this is provided by Newcastle Premier Health on a fortnightly basis, by a fully qualified Occupational Health Advisor. The service also provides other services including counselling and physiotherapy
