Sunderland College is currently seeking to recruit an Exams Team Leader to organise, supervise and actively contribute to the work of the college’s busy examinations department.
Sunderland College caters for around 20,000 students across all funding streams including EFA Study Programmes, SFA Adult, Workplace and Apprenticeships, Higher Education, Full cost provision and ESF project funding. The qualifications that we deliver vary in range from entry level to HE and Foundation Degrees, covering both Academic and Vocational pathways. Apprenticeships Frameworks are also offered at all levels
The College is currently seeking to recruit an Exams Team Leader who will be responsible for managing all aspects of examinations and certification, whilst ensuring full compliance with College and Awarding Organisation regulations. The post carries line management responsibility for a team of Examination Officers. The candidate will need an appropriate academic and/or professional qualification at NVQ level 4 or equivalent as well as holding Maths and English at GCSE A-C (or be prepared to work towards these). A good working knowledge of qualifications offered in the FE sector along with an excellent working knowledge of the JCQ and Awarding Organisation requirements is essential. Familiarity with the ACE system and A2C would be expected. Candidates will need to be highly organised and efficient, have good communication skills, display a customer focused approach and demonstrate flexibility in relation to start and finish times.
