We would like to further strengthen our team with a highly creative and enthusiastic drama specialist. This post offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work in our brand new state of the art ‘Arts Academy’, at the Bede Campus and be a part of a successful team, supporting outstanding achievement across the Performing Arts provision; from BTEC, A Level and Foundation Degree.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner, with relevant vocational competence and be able to ensure quality, have high expectations, enthuse and inspire students to achieve the best possible outcomes and prepare students for a career in the performing arts industry.

Applicants will have a Degree in Drama, or a related course. Applicants must have relevant drama/theatre experience and could be new to teaching or have a proven track record in education. Applicants must hold a teaching qualification or be willing to achieve within two years. Experience in delivering English Functional skills and/or GCSE is desirable to the post, to support students undertaking English as part of their study programme.

Applicants for this post should be able to demonstrate in their personal statement practical examples of how they fulfil the person specification. Applicants will also be expected to provide experience of teaching across different drama qualifications.
