Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a passionate, suitably experienced professional to teach on our thriving NextGen Games, Animation & VFX course.

We are seeking to further strengthen our team with a highly creative and enthusiastic VFX specialist with the skills and experience required to ensure our learners are industry ready with the right skills and knowledge for the workplace.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner, with relevant vocational competence within VFX. They’ll possess the ability to deliver high quality classes, with high expectations, that enthuse and inspire learners to achieve the best possible outcomes and best prepare learners for a career in VFX.

This post offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work in our state of the art ‘Arts Academy’, at the Bede Campus and be a part of a successful team, supporting outstanding achievement across Visual and Digital Arts provision.

Applicants will have a Degree in VFX, or a related subject, or significant industry experience. Applicants must have relevant VFX experience (traditional, freelance or independent) and could be new to teaching or have a proven track record in education. Applicants must hold a teaching qualification or be willing to achieve one within an agreed timescale.

This post offers the successful applicants the opportunity to work in our state of the art ‘Arts Academy’, at the Bede Campus and be a part of a successful team, supporting outstanding achievement across Visual Arts provision.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate relevant experience in their personal statement, giving practical examples of how they fulfil the person specification. Applicants will also be expected to bring along examples of their work to interview, and deliver a short lesson to a group of learners.

Due to the nature of this post, the successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure Check.
