Overview

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic lecturer of public services to join our growing team in the Sport, Public Services and Tourism department. We are looking for an individual who is supportive, creative and innovative with excellent interpersonal skills, a sound understanding of current teaching and learning strategies and the ability to drive forward public services provision at the college.

Educated to degree level, or equivalent, with a relevant teaching qualification, you will also have experience of delivering BTEC qualifications, in particular public services or pre-uniform services at Levels 2 and 3. You should be able to demonstrate experience of course leadership, assessment and quality assurance, delivery of HE and/or adult courses along with a background in the public or pre-uniformed services. The ability to teach on sports courses would be advantageous as this is an integral part of departmental provision.

Applicants should demonstrate, in their personal statement, practical examples of how they fulfil the person specification.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure Check.
