Sunderland College is a world-class provider of education, with four campuses located across the city offering one of the region’s largest range of school leaver and adult courses. In addition to this the College works with over 400 businesses and over 20 sub-contractors, and is one of the largest providers of Apprenticeships in the region. The quality of our education and the support we provide to our students is paramount to us and the College is keen to expand the Quality and Standards team in order to continue to ensure an outstanding Apprentice / learner journey.
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Quality Co-ordinator to work within the existing Quality and Standards team with a specific focus on the quality of College enrolled apprentices. . The job will involve working across the College, with leaders, managers and staff, as well as with sub-contractors, to ensure effective monitoring, tracking and recording of ‘apprentice progress’, high quality reviews and early intervention for underperformance, in order to contribute to high levels of apprenticeship success. It will involve delivering cross College training and support to implement systems that lead to positive improvements.
Successful applicants should hold a level 4 or equivalent higher education qualification, a recognised teaching qualification, and a Management qualification at Level 3 or equivalent (or willingness to work towards in the first 12 months of employment), as well as a proven track record in apprenticeship delivery, and continual quality improvement with successful outcomes.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate relevant experience in their personal statement, giving practical examples of how they fulfil the person specification.
The Quality Co-ordinator may be based at any of the College sites, and will need to be independently mobile and able to travel within the region and to employer premises.
Due to the nature of this post, the successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure Check.
