Sunderland College is seeking to appoint an experienced, energetic and proactive individual, who can also demonstrate the ability to promote, improve and develop student participation in sport and fitness across the College.  The successful applicant will be responsible for co-ordinating our Sport Activation Project ‘Give it a Go’ and will be integral in implementing the college’s Sport and Physical Activity Strategy ambitions which include developing links and community use in the College’s new sports academy building and providing further opportunities for student and staff engagement.

The successful candidate will be joining the College at an exciting time following significant investment in our estate, including the opening of an impressive new Sports Academy at our Bede Campus.  The building opened in September 2014 and includes top class sports facilities such as a four court sports hall, fitness suite, treatment room and a sports science laboratory.  The new building will also have fully equipped teaching areas – kitted out with the latest digital and wireless technology.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate, in their personal statement, practical examples of how they fulfil the person specification.
