Job Description

Are you looking for a career in IT?  This new opportunity will ensure maximum availability of the networked computer system – including the Clinical and office systems in use throughout the trust. To ensure Network Security is maintained at all times. To maintain an inventory of IT equipment/consumables and report on stock levels at regular intervals.

Full Description

Track and resolve Network, Hardware and HISS operating system problems as they are reported through the IT helpdesk – including support of PC’s and Printers.

Provides technical assistance and maintenance support to first line end users as applicable.

Maintains records including problem documentation and actions taken.

Maintains knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.

Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of a computerised inventory of all IT equipment within City Hospitals Trust.

Carry out work in accordance with the IM&T Security policy adopted by the Trust.

Track and resolve network, hardware and software problems as they are reported through the IT helpdesk.

Produce regular summary reports on network issues to the Network Services Manager.

Liaison with NHS Supplies for IT procurements.

Liaison with CHS Estates for Electrical or Data point requirements for the network.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of work, procedures and ‘to-do’ lists.

Perform any other duties within the post as required.
