Who is this course for?
There are lots of benefits to this course; exercise is one, but there’s also the social side. It’s a great way to make new friends and it’s something nice to do with your partner. Anyone looking for a way to keep fit, healthy and boost self-confidence. You must have an interest in movement and dance. The course is stress-free, energising and, most importantly fun. Everyone will be encouraged to have a go.
What do you need to apply for the course?
You do not need any formal qualifications for this course.
What are the key things you'll learn?
The aim of the course is to work on the whole body; hold positions, arm alignment and positions of the feet. Each week will differ slightly in terms of the dance style to keep the classes fresh & interesting for all participants. Recap sessions will be done throughout the 10-week course, referring back to the specific styles covered.
How you will learn
You will be involved and take part in a practical group class, based on varied ballroom dance moves such as the Waltz, Foxtrot and Quickstep. Everyone will be encouraged to work hard and enjoy the movement provided.

You could progress onto one of our other dance leisure courses.
What costs will you incur?
Ballroom Shoes can be worn however they are not a necessity.
