Who is this course for?
This is a nationally recognised qualification for those looking to commence a career in the Beauty Therapy, Spa and Leisure industry UK or nationally and for those wishing to progress from Level 1 in a related subject area.
What do you need to apply for the course?
You will be required to take a skills assessment at the start of the course.
What are the key things you'll learn?
This course covers a range of practical beauty skills and relevant theoretical knowledge to prepare you for either entry into the beauty industry or progression to the next level and includes;
- Facial skin care
- Provide waxing
- Provide manicure
- Provide Pedicure
- Apply make up
- Salon reception duties
- Client care communication products & services
- Maths & English (if applicable)
How you will learn
Assessment is undertaken through observed practical tasks within our commercial salons.
Assessment of written work and assignment work is undertaken within a classroom.
Additional activities include;
- Home study using Moodle
- Competition work
- Visits to external companies
- Guest Speakers
Where could this course take you?
After successfully completing the course you could apply your skills to find work in the beauty industry or progress on to a Level 3 Beauty Therapy course.
What costs will you incur?
Depending on your circumstances you may need to pay for the following:

- Deposit for Locker Key £5
- Personal expenses during educational visits.
