Who is this course for?

This course is for those who have significant experience in youth work, or currently qualified to a Level 2 standard in Youth Work, who wish to enhance their career opportunities within the area.

What do you need to apply for the course?

To apply for this course you will need to be 19 or over with significant experience or hold a Level 2 Youth Work. You will also GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent.

What are the key things you'll learn?

During this course you will develop your youth work skills by studying the following topics:

  • Applying Principles and Practice in Youth Work
  • Safeguarding Young People in a Youth Work Setting
  • Looking at Intervention Strategies’
  • Working with Young People who have Become Disengaged for One Reason or Another

You will learn through theory based classroom sessions and through a work placement.
