Who is this course for?

This qualifications is designed as an introduction to leadership and management for team leaders, or aspiring team leaders, which will support the development of their skills in leading a team, making sure that the team’s work achieves organisational objectives, as well as further developing planning, problem solving and decision making skills which will help improve their promotion and employability prospects and gain an industry recognised qualification.

What do you need to apply for the course?

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, but as a Learner you will ideally be working within an organisation or role where you can demonstrate skills and apply knowledge. Alternatively, you could draw on previous experience within an organisation or use an organisation you are familiar with

  • Understand the organisational requirements for a team leader
  • Understand a range of leadership styles applicable to different situations
  • Understand how the team leader builds a shared sense of purpose with a team

How you will learn

This course is taught through a mixture of practical and theoretical methods, which emphasise team work and interactive learning.

Where could this course take you?

This short level 2 course would be the ideal introduction to the full Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management.
