Who is this course for?

This qualification is designed for learners who wish to develop creative skills in figure drawing.

What do you need to apply for the course?

You should apply for this course if you are interested in harnessing your creative skills in figure drawing.

What are the key things you'll learn?

You will learn about the observation of line, tone, form, space, light and shade working directly from the human form. You will be introduced to methods of measurement and proportion that will aid the development of accurate figure drawings.

You will learn to use a wide variety of different materials – ink, charcoal, pencil, and pastel.

How you will learn

You will learn primarily by experience through practical studio sessions that combine elements of art history and theory.

Where could this course take you?

You will acquire a basic grounding in observational drawing that could lead to career progression in the creative industries – particularly in full range of art & design disciplines. Upon completion of a Level 1 qualification you may progress to Level 2.

What costs will you incur?

Drawing materials and paper will be provided. You will be required to bring your own sketchbook.
