What are the key things you'll learn?
The aim of this course is to develop your knowledge, skills and attitudes for teaching literacy.
This course will enable you to use inclusive literacy and language teaching and assessment approaches to meet the needs of individual learners.
The course will focus on theories and principles relating to language acquisition and learning and literacy learning and development and give you the skills to analyse spoken and written language. Literacy and the learners will help you to understand the significance of language change, the relationship between language and social processes and other factors which can influence literacy and language acquisition, learning and use.

Examples of assessment methods include – Assignments, case studies, checklists, essays, observations, online assessments, portfolio of evidence, reflective learning journals, and self-evaluation and action plan.
