Who is this course for?

This qualification is designed for learners who wish to develop creative skills in painting and drawing.

You should apply for this course if you are interested in harnessing your creative skills in drawing and painting.

What are the key things you'll learn?

You will explore different, materials techniques and processes used in the production of an Art and Design piece. You will learn how to develop an idea from initial sketches to a final outcome. You will investigate creative employment opportunities.

How you will learn

You will learn primarily by experience through practical studio sessions that combine elements of art history and theory.

Where could this course take you?

You will acquire a basic grounding in drawing and painting that could lead to career progression in the creative industries – particularly in full range of art & design disciplines. Upon completion of a Level 2 qualification you may progress to Level 3 course. This could be an Access to HE (Art & Design) programme.

Materials and paper will be provided. You will be required to bring your own sketchbook.
