Who is this course for?
This qualification is designed for adult learners, although it’s suitable for a wide range of learners who wish to gain a basic understanding of photography. The qualification is aimed at learners wishing to develop an understanding of basic photographic processes and will also allow learners to understand how to manipulate images. The qualification aims to support learners to progress either into employment or onto further qualifications.

What are the key things you'll learn?
1. Use a camera to capture creative images
2. Digital image manipulation (using Adobe Photoshop)
Learners will understand how to use a camera correctly and safely to take photographs; they’ll also be able to review the quality of their final images. Learners will also be aware of legal and ethical considerations relating to photography.
How you will learn
This course is taught through weekly, classroom sessions.
Where could this course take you?
After successfully completing the course you could, depending on your qualifications and experience, progress on to GCSE Photography, Access Photography, HNC Photography or HND Photography at Sunderland College.
