Who is this course for?
This course is for you if currently work in, or aspire to work in, the health and wellbeing field. You will gain the knowledge and skills you need to address the health and well-being of individuals in your community.
What do you need to apply for the course?
You should hold a level 2 literacy qualification as well having a keen interest in your own and other peoples health!
What are the key things you'll learn?
This course is made up a number of units of study including:
- Working with communities to promote and support active healthy lifestyles
- Understanding the role of physical activity in health and well-being
- Collecting, managing and reporting of personal data
- Understanding Nutrition, Performance and Healthy Eating
- Alcohol Awareness
- Smoking Awareness and Cessation
The qualification enables students to gain a skills base aimed at facilitating long-term active healthy lifestyles amongst those in their communities not currently engaging in active healthy lifestyles.
How you will learn
The course will be delivered at our new sports academy and will use a range of engaging teaching methods in our new state of the art classroom spaces.

Where could this course take you?
This qualification provides direct progression to level 3 courses in exercise referral and personal training.
