Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for people working in the Motor Vehicle industry or for people wanting to gain qualifications to support their current job.
What do you need to apply for the course?
To apply for this course you must have completed Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principals Diploma Level 2.
What are the key things you'll learn?
On this course you will learn key diagnostic procedures for:
- Vehicles and the associated systems engine
- How to inspect vehicles in compliance with VOSA standards
How you will learn
You will learn the theory of Motor Vehicles diagnostics in the classroom and get practical knowledge in our workshop gaining workplace experience. You will be assessed through coursework and take an online test.
Where could this course take you?
After you have completed this course you’ll be able to progress into the Motor Vehicle industry or move onto a Level 4 Qualification.
What costs will you incur?
This course is free if you are aged between 16-19, or if you are aged between 19-25 and have no other Level 2 Qualification.
If you are aged between 19 and 23 years old (on the first day of your course) and do not already have a full Level 3 of higher qualification, you will not have to pay course fees. This may be different for learners studying on a course in the workplace.
If you are aged 19 or over, on the first day of your course, studying at Level 3 or above, you are able to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover the costs of your course, similar to arrangements for higher education students.
