Staff and students are invited to Road, a new drama production produced by BTEC Extended Diploma students.
Set in the 1980s, Road follows the lives of a community living in poverty during the political reign of Margaret Thatcher. Written by Jim Cartwright, it examines the effects of struggling with unemployment and being at the bottom of the social class ladder during a time of economic hardship – drawing parallels with today’s society and issues.
The students will be putting on four performances of the play on Wednesday the 23rd and Thursday the 24th of May at 13:15 and 18:30. Tickets to the matinee performances are free and £2.50 for the evening performance and can be booked through Sheree Snowdon on 0191 511 6123
