Take a bird’s eye tour of Sunderland College’s new £29million City Campus in the heart of the city.
This fly-through video shows how the City Campus development, next to Park Lane Interchange, is taking shape.
City Campus will be the college’s flagship professional and technical campus, offering a wide range of courses in advanced engineering, manufacturing, construction trades, automotive trades, travel and tourism, hair and beauty, and catering and hospitality.
Featuring state-of-the-art teaching facilities for up to 2,000 students, the high-tech campus will also be home to the college’s commercial ventures including a fine dining restaurant, bakery, travel agency, car repair service, luxury spa, and hair, beauty and barbering salons.
BAM Construction began work on the site in January, and the campus is expected to be open for business by September 2016.
City Campus is being funded through the Skills Funding Agency (SFA), Sunderland City Council and college reserves. The land has been secured from Homes and Communities Agency.
