Sunderland College’s Improtech Football Development Centre players recently tested out mobile football training equipment to help improve their skills.
Hexagol, is a unique, mobile football training system, designed to improve the skill levels of players and is delivered by Foot Forward Coaching.
The football coaching company is owned by professional footballer Josh Walker, the former Edinburgh City captain, who counts Middlesbrough, Aberdeen and Watford as his previous clubs.
Stuart Brand, Head Coach at Improtech Soccer, said: “Hexagol was a brilliant experience for our players and it was great to welcome Josh into the college. Having experienced the £5million indoor arena in Benfica recently, I was very much excited to see how Hexagol worked and it did not disappoint. We’re looking forward to working with Josh in the future.”
Josh and his team came into Sunderland College to deliver a training session and showcase their training equipment which our Cat 1 players enjoyed testing out.
Jaden Cahill-Taylor, Cat 1 Captain said: “Hexagol was challenging, exciting and a real test of technique and all players thoroughly enjoyed taking part. It was brilliant to have access to the facilities within the college.”
