Sunderland College has a long history of employer engagement, today the college works with over 600 businesses a year across various key sectors including many of the region’s largest employers. Over recent years Sunderland College has also become one of the largest providers of apprenticeships in the North East. The College is keen to continue to build upon this success and an exciting opportunity has been created within our Business Development Directorate. Sunderland College has a generous annual leave package of 35 days plus bank holidays per year.
We are seeking to appoint two dynamic and motivated individuals as Business Executives to be part of the Business Development Team, they will lead the business development, marketing and sales activity on a sector basis. The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate an up to date understanding of employer and sector needs and have the ability to identify and respond the changing markets. Applicants will have a sound knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks as well as the changing landscape of Further Education. Applicants will be able to demonstrate a professional approach with good inter-personal skills, be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines working under pressure whilst utilising excellent account management skills. Applicants should have experience of working in education and training as well as sales experience and expertise in either the advanced manufacturing/engineering or digital sectors.
