Sunderland College wishes to appoint a Director of International Development to lead the development and implementation of its Internationalisation Strategy. The College has an excellent reputation for its international activity, and holds the UKVI’s highly trusted sponsor status. We also oversee and manage the only independent IELTS test centre in the North East of England.
The College has ambitious plans to develop its international activity both in terms of its international student recruitment and transnational education with overseas partner institutions. This post will provide strategic guidance to the Senior Leadership and Management team and operational leadership for the College’s international development activity.
You will take the lead and be responsible for developing and implementing a well targeted international business development plan that achieve targets for growth in revenue generation.
The successful candidate will have a degree; a post graduate qualification would also be desirable, and have a proven track record in the formulation and execution of successful international strategies. You should also have significant experience of successful management of international operations within a Further or Higher Education institution. You will need to have the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead a diverse range of staff, and to travel overseas.
