Post Ref: 6204. Full Time, 37 hours per week, Fixed Term for 2 years, £22,643.24 per annum

 We are looking to recruit a machinery Workshop Technician to work in the Land-Based and Outdoor Academy at Northumberland College based at Kirkley Hall, Ponteland. The post-holder will provide support and assistance to the teaching staff in the College’s practical workshops. They will be expected to supervise and prepare the College’s LBI workshops, vehicles and equipment for use by teaching staff and to provide practical instruction and supervision of students studying at Kirkley Hall.

The post holder/s will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible in their approach to work. They will possess extensive skills in the maintenance and safe operation of plant and machinery including agricultural tractors and implements. They will have an enthusiasm for working in an FE environment with young people. Good organisational skills and a proven record of Estate and other land-based skills and qualifications would be desirable.

Due to the nature of this post you will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure Check.
