Post Ref: 6137 Full Time, 37 hours per week (up to 19 hours teaching contact time). Permanent. £23,300.75 – £23,979.47* per annum

*upon completion of a teaching qualification or development of your teaching practice, you will progress up the college pay spine in accordance with the Lecturer 1 agreed pay grade, with 24 hours teaching contact time.

This development role has been created through the Taking Teaching Further programme, which is a new national initiative for experienced industry professionals seeking a career within Further Education. The programme is designed to attract professionals from prioritised sector areas: childcare and education; digital; construction; engineering and manufacturing. To be eligible you must not already hold a substantive teaching qualification i.e. a Level 5 Teaching Qualification (Diploma in Education and Training) or other equivalent/higher level teaching qualification.

Do you have a desire to help others achieve their full potential? If so, it is essential that you possess a degree within Childcare and/or Education and have recent industry experience within the last 18 months and is committed to developing through continuous professional development. As part of the programme, you will work towards achieving a teaching qualification with an established supportive model, enabling you to gain confidence in developing best practice. The role is an ideal opportunity for a candidate looking to gain teaching and learning skills, and be able to demonstrate the professional standards within Childcare and/or Education essential for achieving excellence.
