An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer 2 English specialist within the Maths and English Department. We are looking for someone who has a passion for English and who can use this energy to set high learner expectations and engage learners of all ages. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to deliver English within a number of settings and be able to develop their teaching practice with both 16-18 full time learners and adults. The role will allow the successful candidate invaluable teaching practice within the English curriculum allowing the applicant to expand and develop their teaching portfolio.
We are looking to appoint an outstanding teaching practitioner in English who possesses the ability to communicate their knowledge and expertise to our learners. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the English team and there is scope to become a teaching and learning coach to professionally develop the English curriculum further and support the English delivery team.
Applicants should have an appropriate Degree or subject specialism in English, teaching qualification and an assessors’ award would be preferable. Within the personal statement, practical examples of how you fulfil the person specification and examples of your teaching practice should be included.
