An opportunity has arisen for a passionate specialist, and suitably experienced, professional to teach on our thriving Level 3 NextGen Games, Animation & VFX course.

We are seeking to add to our existing team with one additional, highly creative and enthusiastic, specialist with the skills and experience to ensure our learners are industry ready with the right skills and knowledge for the workplace.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner, with relevant vocational competence within Games, Animation or VFX. They will possess the ability to deliver high quality classes, with high expectations, that enthuse and inspire learners and best prepare learners for a career in Games, Animation or VFX. We would particularly welcome applicants with industry experience in either Production Management, VFX or Games Programming. Previous lecturing experience is not essential.

This post offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work in our state of the art ‘Arts Academy’ within our five specialist NextGen studios. We also have a VR lab, motion capture facilities, TV studio and sound recording studios. You will be joining a highly successful team, supporting outstanding achievement across Digital, Creative & Business, and working closely with the NextGen Skills Academy to develop the next generation of digital talent.

Applicants will ideally have a Degree in either Games, Animation or VFX, or a related subject, or significant industry experience. Applicants must have relevant industry experience (traditional, freelance or independent) and could be new to teaching or have a proven track record in education. Applicants must hold a teaching qualification or be willing to achieve one within an agreed timescale.

Applicants for this post should be able to demonstrate in their personal statement practical examples of how they fulfil the person specification. Applicants will also be expected to show examples of their work at interview, and deliver a short presentation to the interview panel.
