Job Description

Would you like a rewarding career with Sunderland Council?  We are looking to recruit Customer Service Apprentices to join the Council’s Customer Service Network.

The successful candidates will be part of a busy Customer Service Team responsible for providing a first class service to our customers. Thanks to the people working here the culture is an extremely positive one and you will need to share their ‘can do’ attitude. You must demonstrate that you are willing to be flexible, will support colleagues and strive to deliver a service to be proud of. In exchange, you’ll have lots of opportunity to develop and receive support and encouragement from those around you.

To be successful you will need to have the communication skills to relate to different people from across the community, presenting a positive, helpful approach and be comfortable working with new technology.

You will complete an Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2) Contact Centre qualification delivered by Sunderland College.

  • Listening – Listens to others to assess requirements in order to respond appropriately and efficiently.

  • PC Skills – Able to effectively use a PC to prepare documents, record information or input data.
