An exciting opportunity is here to begin your journey into the childcare profession! An opportunity to work in a recently established early years setting at Whitburn Village Primary School. Become an apprentice in our fun and friendly Daycare setting working with children aged 2 to 5 years gaining experience while you learn!
A minimum of 3x Level 2 (GCSE 4-9/Functional Skills Level 2s) qualifications – including both Maths and English A-D/4-9 or equivalent.
A Childcare qualification or equivalent e.g., GCSE Childcare or Health & Social care would be desirable.
The following is desirable, or the candidate has the capacity to
complete relevant training provided on this to support the role.
• Paediatric First aid training
• Knowledge of the EYFS
• Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding requirements
relevant to the role
• Competent in using Microsoft office or 365
• Evidence of any Continuous Professional Development or training relevant to the role would be helpful

? An enhanced disclosure (DBS) specific to our setting
? Suitability to work with children letter from Ofsted,
? We will also require you to complete an Ofsted approved paediatric first aid course preferably within 4 weeks
