Cragside Riding School are looking to welcome to their small team an apprentice groom to join in learning the aspects of working in and helping to run the riding school. We are an expanding riding school and there may be an opportunity to train alongside our resident Level 3 coaches, level 4 Stable Managers.
Ability to listen to and follow instruction
Recognition of the health and safety for being around large animals
Good time keeping
Organised
Good communication skills
Good personal hygiene
Some experience of riding horses (preferred)
Some confidence in working with horses (preferred)
Caring, friendly nature
Genuine interest in horses and their care and well being
Patience with others
Grade 9-2 or A-E in English and Maths
Full time employment
Progression to Level 3
Working outside in all weathers is an expectation of the job
The animals require to be looked after all year round
