Who is this course for?
This course is for anybody who is looking for a career in the catering industry and who is progressing from the Level 2 Diploma in Professional Cookery.
What do you need to apply for the course?
You will need four GCSEs at grade C or above including English or a relevant Level 2 qualification, including English Language GCSE grade C.
What are the key things you'll learn?
During this course you will develop your cooking skills and techniques using a range of kitchen and larder products including game, shellfish and poultry.
How you will learn
This course is taught through classroom teaching, workshop activity and practical sessions in our production kitchen.
Where could this course take you?
After successfully completing this course you could seek employment in the industry or progress to higher education.
What costs will you incur?
If you are aged between 19 and 23 years old (on the first day of your course) and do not already have a full Level 3 of higher qualification, you will not have to pay course fees. This may be different for learners studying on a course in the workplace.
If you are aged 19 or over, on the first day of your course, studying at Level 3 or above, you are able to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover the costs of your course, similar to arrangements for higher education students.
