Who is this course for?
This course is for those who are looking for an introduction into this developing and expanding sector.
What do you need to apply for the course?
You will need a minimum of two GCSE’s at grade D/3 or above, including Grade 3 English Language. You may also be required to undertake an interview.

- Delivering the travel and tourism customer experience
- Exploring airports and airlines
How you will learn
You will learn mostly through theory based sessions, delivered in the Travel and Tourism Academy, where we also have a cabin and the Citysun Travel which is a real live travel agency.
You will also participate in work placement within Citysun Travel.
Where could this course take you?
On successful completion of the course you could progress to the Travel and Tourism BTEC Diploma Level 3 course. Alternatively you could go directly into employment within the travel and tourism industry i.e. working in an airport, a travel agency or abroad as a holiday representative.
What costs will you incur?
At the start of the course you will be required to pay £180 to contribute towards educational visits.
You will be required to wear a uniform, plain black knee length work skirt (girls) or plain black work trousers (boys). One shirt or blouse and scarf or tie will be provided, you will be required to purchase the remainder of the uniform (more information will be given at enrolment)
Previous Student Experience
The level 2 gave me a good understanding of the travel and tourism sector and helped me to prepare myself for the level 3 course, I enjoyed it a lot and the trips to Beamish, Manchester Airport and Flamingo land really helped with my work.Kayleigh Lovick
