Who is this course for?
It is perfect for those who need to get to grips with computerised accounting software, and wish to gain a nationally recognised qualification in this area. It will enhance their current knowledge, allowing them to use such software independently in the work environment. By the end of the course you will achieve the L2 Foundation Award in Accounting Software accredited by AAT.
What do you need to apply for the course?
You need to be 19 or over, have a good level of numeracy skills and an interest in accounts – though an in-depth knowledge of accounts is not necessary.
What are the key things you'll learn?
Areas covered include:
- Set up accounting software
- Process sales and purchase transactions
- Perform bank and cash transactions
- Perform period end routine tasks
- Produce reports
How you will learn
You will learn in a very practical and hands-on way using the current industry standard Sage software.
Where could this course take you?
You could progress from this course onto the full Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting – the computerised accounts course would give you some exemption from this programme.
AAT Qualifications are recognised by employers as practical and technical qualifications that prepare students for the world of work and for working specifically in accountancy and finance roles. The Foundation Award in Accounting Software can lead to employment as:
