The aim of the course is to develop skills and knowledge in the ability to recognise online security threats that could harm you and explore the steps that you can take to minimise your risks.
This course will help improve your online safety in the context of the wider world, it will introduce concepts such as malware, trojan viruses, network security, cryptography, identity theft and risk management.

You will be taught using a range of teaching techniques including online learning and face to face delivery.
You will be assessed by various methods including demonstration, practical activities, and written assessment.
You will study 2.5 hours a week in college and there may be some additional tasks to complete outside of this time.
This course will be held on Tuesday evenings between 6pm and 8:30pm.
