This course is taught face-to-face with a mix of workshops and seminars.
You will be assessed through the creation of a digital portfolio of work.
There will be opportunities to engage at regional industry networking events, including those facilitated by North East Screen and Generator, as well as the chance to attend Q&A sessions with industry practitioners.
You will study part-time at our Bede Campus in the brand-new Media House.
In addition, you will need to able to commit to around 3 hours of self-directed study per week.
This Introductory Award in Digital Media covers a wide range of topics, including the fundamentals of podcast production, the planning and production of a podcast, as well as exploring progression routes and careers within the industry.
The course will help you prepare for employment or further learning at a higher level in digital media.
You will study modules including:
- Developing a Personal Progression Plan
- Making an Audio Recording
Following the completion of this course, you could progress to further study in digital media, or gain employment in the sector.
