This is a level 1 maths qualification which enables you to progress to level 2.
No prior qualifications are needed as you will be required to complete an Initial assessment at enrolment. This will determine the level you enrol on.

You will be taught addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, measurement, shape, graphs/charts, fractions, percentages, area, perimeter, volume, mean, range, estimation, ratio and proportion using a range of online and paper resources.
Assessments will take place at a College venue.
The time scale would vary depending on delivery type.
Various days and times throughout the year. Classes are usually weekly. 1 to 1 sessions take place at appointment times to suit you - usually once a week. Distance learning - we advise you allocate dedicated study time on a weekly basis to fit around your commitments.
The Functional Skills qualification aims to provide you with the basic maths practical skills required in work, education and everyday life.
