This course aims to build skills in creative textiles and will in introduce you to a range of techniques and processes including screen printing, mark making, dying, fabric manipulation and construction.
You will develop your ability sufficiently over the course to achieve a level 1 qualification from the NCFE.
You will attend weekly sessions, working through a series of practical experiments and techniques, building on each new skill.
There are no entry requirements for this course. This specialised course should appeal to adults 19+ with a range of abilities.

There is no formal examination to the course, but to achieve the NCFE Level 1 qualification, you are required to submit a portfolio of coursework for assessment.
Staff will advise and assist you on the presentation, collation and review of this work as part of the course. You will be required to complete small amounts of homework throughout the course.
One evening a week for 10 weeks.

On successful completion of your NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Creative Craft you can progress to NCFE Level 2, Access to HE, or Foundation Diploma. It could also give you the skills to set up your own textile craft business.
