This qualification is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to be able to adapt fitness instruction to accommodate adolescents providing an understanding of the physiological and psychological issues they face and how they affect their ability to exercise.
Students must hold a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing or equivalent.

This course is made up of the following units which all need to be successfully achieved:
- Development of adolescents
- Principles of adapting gym instruction for adolescents
- Principle of adapting group exercise for adolescents
This qualification provides progression to the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Instructing Exercise and Fitness. Learners may also broaden their knowledge and skills by progressing to other specialist courses or our Level 3 diploma in health and fitness, or personal training qualification.
