This course if for people who want to start a career in the beauty therapy industry. The course covers key areas of barbering including:
Health and Safety, How to shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp, How to cut hair using basic barbering techniques, How to dry and finish mens hair, How to create basic patterns in hair, How to
You will need at least two GCSEs at grade 4 including English Language and preferably maths, or a Level 1 hairdressing qualification and you will be required to pass a skills assessment at the start of the course.

How you will learn
You will learn through a variety of teaching methods including practical work working on students/clients/members of the general public and theory work in our modern training facilities.
After successfully completing the course you could apply your skills to find work in the beauty industry or progress on to a Level 3 Beauty Therapy course, within the general route or Spa.
