This course will allow you to develop your skills and knowledge in a range of topics connected to digital art. You will learn to use industry standard software and a range of professional equipment associated concerning the digital art areas of photography, graphics and media The skills and knowledge you gain from this course will help you to progress onto a higher level course or a potential career in one or more of these industries.
You must have achieved the following qualifications to enrol onto this course:
A minimum of two GCSEs at grade 3, one of which should be in an art and design subject.

You will be taught using both practical and theory based elements to your lessons on a range of topics and skills in photography, graphics and media.
The practical element of your lessons will allow you to develop a range of skills using industry standard software and equipment and the theory elements will build your knowledge of your subject through research tasks on a range of topics.
Throughout the duration of the course, lecturers will assess your knowledge in a number of ways and provide you with supportive feedback to help you develop your skills and knowledge in digital art.
Maths and English are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE maths and/or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.

The aim of the course is to develop skills and knowledge in digital art to allow you to progress to a relevant level 3 course, apprenticeship or occupation.
