What’s it all about?

Do you have a passion for travel and tourism in the UK? The Level 2 Extended Certificate in Travel and Tourism is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of UK tourism while equipping you with the essential skills to plan and deliver travel experiences both domestically and internationally. You’ll gain valuable insights into the travel and tourism sector, along with transferable skills that will benefit you in any career path you choose.

You will need 2 GCSE qualifications at grades 3-9, including English Language/Literature.

Study level Cost Additional fees
16-18 Free There is a contribution required for trips, visits and uniform at the start of each academic year. The visits are a mandatory part of the course and the students complete activities to use in their coursework, as well as learning essential skills for the industry. The current contribution is £150. This is subject to change. Eligible students may qualify for a bursary payment contribution to help with costs.

You will be assessed in a variety of ways including practical tasks, observations, presentations, assignments, and coursework throughout your study.

There are no exams or high-pressure situations, and you will work on building a portfolio of evidence.
