This course is designed for students who have just left school and want to pursue a career in the hospitality and catering industry with a specific focus on bakery. It is also for adults who wish to re-train or gain accreditation for an existing job role.
There are no entry requirements for this course other than a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. A good level of kitchen skills would be desirable.

The key things you will be learning on this course are: Various techniques in making, shaping, proving and cooking dough. Finishing techniques, Customer service skills,Cash handling. Sugar craft, chocolate work and confectionery. Cake decorating and finishing
With this qualification you could go straight into industry working in a bakery or pastry kitchen or you could progress onto our Level Three in Professional Bakery.
