A keen interest in lighting and sound is required for this course.
This Bootcamp will be a Level 1 Sunderland College Certificate.
There are no formal exams - assessment will be through practical demonstration observed by the lecturer.
The college has a wide network of industry links in the region and will give you the opportunity to benefit from these.
You will have the opportunity to support internal live events to practice your skills.
The course is delivered over 2 hours per week over 6 weeks.
There will be opportunities for you to have access outside of this time to support live events to gain more experience.
The course is delivered on Tuesday between 6pm-8pm
The course will be taught in Theatre Eighteen, in the Arts Academy at our Bede Campus. We ask students to arrive in clothes they don't mind getting dirty and that protects them from dirt.
To introduce people with a technical interest how to support live events through Light and Sound. The course will be taught in a commercial theatre giving access to the resources and environment that reflects industry.
The North East is becoming one of the fastest growing areas for the creative and screen industries requiring a skilled workforce. This bootcamp aims to give the basic skills and knowledge for working with Light and Sound, to support people to get into this area of work.
