What’s it all about?

The travel industry is constantly changing and developing despite set backs, within the next 5 - 10 years it is predicted to employ approx 3.7 million people in the UK and there are opportunities available for various careers.

The course will introduce you the sector and you will gain work experience in our on-site, fully operational travel agency Citysun Travel. It is designed for anyone who wants to learn and continue to develop their interest in the ever changing travel & tourism industry. If you love travelling, enjoy researching holidays or just want to learn about the sector this course can offer you an insight.

You will have a minimum of a grade 3 in at least 3 GCSE (or equivalent) subjects including GCSE English language and maths or you will have achieved a pass in level 1 introduction to travel & tourism.

19+ please enquire There are some additional costs within this course to cover a contribution towards trips and visits as well as the department uniform. Currently this is £80 however this is subject to change. Eligible learners may qualify for bursary payments towards this amount.

The course is assessed via a mixture of online tests and course work which may involve presentations, written work or practical assessments. Topics covered include customer service, travel planning, UK & worldwide destinations and retail travel services.

The course is delivered on a set timetable, Monday - Friday between the hours of 09.00 - 17.00. A full timetable will be provided at the beginning of the course.
