How has employing an apprentice helped your business?

It is great for our business to invest in an apprentice and secure their future.

How has your apprentice developed on-the-job skills?

With on-the-job training, our apprentice has the experience of various sites and aspects of joinery, which has developed his skills.

What assets has an apprentice brought to your business?

Investing in a young person and working with them to develop their skills and for them to qualify in a trade is a huge asset to our business.

Would you recommend the apprenticeship scheme to other businesses? 

Yes I would recommend the scheme as it’s a great investment to both a business and to an individual.

What support have you received from Sunderland College?

We have received excellent support from Sunderland College from the point of enrolment to the student’s progression throughout each term. The technical/theory aspects that are taught at College give the student more understanding that can be brought back to the workplace.
