How has employing an apprentice helped your business?

We have been able to develop a new supporting role within the nursery classes and develop and train our own staff member.

How has your apprentice developed on-the-job skills?

By working as part of a class team, led by two other professional, taking part in all in-house training and meeting and the support of a tutor mentor within the workplace and at College.

What assets has an apprentice brought to your business?

An additional adult to reduce ratios and support everyday duties and support for children.

Would you recommend the apprenticeship scheme to other businesses? 

Yes, this is our second successful apprenticeship with Sunderland College and we are entering our third. The partnership works well!

What support have you received from Sunderland College?

Sunderland College provides tutor support for our apprentice and visit the school regularly. We fully support the apprenticeship scheme and hope to continue to have apprentices in our school.
