Get Started with Creative Arts: Experimental Darkroom- Cyanotypes
10:00 - 12:00
Are you interested in a career in photography?
Then this session is for you!
This is a creative opportunity to explore historical photographic processes in the darkroom. The cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. Engineers used the process well into the 20th century as a simple and low-cost process to produce copies of drawings, referred to as blueprints.
Within this taster session you will learn how to print a photographic image using plain paper and light sensitive chemicals.
You can bring a photograph of your choice which you can reproduce in the darkroom, or you can take a new photograph with which to create your cyanotype.
