Who is this course for?
This course is for people looking to progress from a Level 2 beauty therapy course who are interested in a career in the Beauty or Spa Industry.
What do you need to apply for the course?
You will need to have completed an NVQ Level 2 in beauty therapy and/or have practical experience within the industry. You will also be required to pass a skills assessment prior to starting the course.
What are the key things you'll learn?
The course covers the following units:
- Provide body massage treatments
- Provide stone therapy treatments
- Provide body wrapping and flotation treatments
- Monitor clients and the operation of sauna, steam and hydrotherapy treatments
- Indian head massage
- Pre-blended aromatherapy massage
- Planning and implementing promotional activity
How you will learn
This course is taught using both practical and theoretical methods in the classroom and our dedicated spa and salon. You will continuously be assessed throughout the course.
Where could this course take you?
After successfully completing the course you will be able to progress onto an apprenticeship or into employment. There are career opportunities for spa therapists to work within the spa, working at a managerial level within the spa environment. Or you could progress into higher education and go on to study a spa management degree or similar at university.

Depending on your circumstances you may need to pay for the following:
Uniform £35 approximately
If you are aged 19 or over, on the first day of your course, studying at Level 3 or above, you are able to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover the costs of your course, similar to arrangements for higher education students.
