What is a Get Started event?

Our Get Started events are a great opportunity to get to know the college and the subject you are interested in studying before you start in September.

What happens during the event?

Every subject area does things differently for their Get Started event but you will be involved in fun subject-specific activities and you might even learn something new!

Why have I been invited?

You have applied for a course or expressed an interest in studying a course in that subject area.

Do I need to book a place?

Yes, you just need to complete our quick online registration form. Visit sunderlandcollege.ac.uk/events to find your Get Started event and book your place via Event Brite.

Where do I go when I arrive?

Our Get Started events take place at Bede Campus or City Campus, depending on the subject. Just report to Main Reception and one of our friendly staff will let you know where to go.

What do I need to wear?

If you need any specific clothing, we will let you know on your event confirmation. Otherwise, just wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

What do I need to bring?

Your event confirmation will let you know whether or not you need to bring anything with you.

What happens next?

You may be invited to other Get Started events. If you have already applied for a course, we will also send you information over the summer about your enrolment.

What if I’ve changed my mind about the subject I want to study?

Don’t worry if you change your mind before or after your Get Started event, just contact our Admissions team: admission@sunderlandcollege.ac.uk, and let us know if you need any help or advice planning your next step.
